Early Childhood Practitioners: Your Therapy Navigator

Our dedicated Early Childhood Practitioners (ECPs) form the heart of our approach. Working closely with your child and your family, they deliver personalised services and interventions to meet your child’s unique needs. As the first point of contact with 360 Kids, our professionals initiate the assessment process, understand your child and family’s goals, and determine the priorities for intervention.

Our Early Childhood Practitioners help deliver therapeutic Interventions to meet those goals and work alongside a team of skilled allied health professionals.

Coordinated Care for Timely Progress

Our ECPs play a crucial role in coordinating comprehensive care for your child. They ensure timely access to services and continuously evaluate your child’s progress. Together with our multidisciplinary teams of occupational therapists, speech pathologists, physiotherapists and behaviour support practitioners, they create a tailored therapy plan that aligns with your child’s goals and developmental journey.

If allied health and other supports are in place from other providers, our early childhood practitioner will work with those professionals to coordinate supports and therapy.  The ECP will also develop the therapy plan via individual or group therapy, to align with your goals. They will work with the allied health team to continually evaluate your child’s progress to ensure goals are being achieved.

A Diverse Team of Professionals

Each child under the age of 9 and their family is linked with an Early Childhood Practitioner, who acts as the keyworker. Our ECPs come from various backgrounds, including qualified teachers, early childhood educators, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, social workers, and physiotherapists.

The Early Childhood Practitioner will complete assessments and in collaboration with family members, coordinate the most appropriate transdisciplinary supports.  We can offer allied health services from occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech pathologists, and behaviour support clinicians. We work as a team to ensure there is progress toward the goals established in the therapy plan.

Benefits of Our Early Childhood Approach

The early commencement of services is the key advantage of our approach. We understand the frustration of waiting periods for allied health services, which causes delays in commencing early intervention.

Our Early Childhood Practitioners promptly initiate assessments, collaborating with our allied health team to develop the most appropriate therapy plan for your child’s needs.

Our 360 Kids Early Childhood approach supports children aged 0-9 but our services don’t end there.  We continue to provide support to children throughout their development to adulthood and beyond.  Children over the age of 9 will be offered ongoing therapy through our allied health teams working In adolescent and adult services.
