360 GO Speech Pathology Graduate Program

Why Join our Speech Pathology Graduate Program?

Our Speech Pathology Graduate Program has been specifically designed for Early Career and Graduate Speech Pathologists who want to work within the NDIS, aged care and insurance sectors within a community setting. While the Program is designed to increase your generalist skills, our unique allocations process and supervision structure enables us to tailor caseloads and education in consideration of your preferences and areas of interest.

At National 360, we understand that graduating from university studies and entering the workforce is an important milestone, and we are committed to facilitating a positive transition from university to part-time or full-time work.

Our Graduate Program – 360 GO – has been specifically designed for Graduates and Early Career Therapists who want to work within a community setting. 360 GO runs for a full 12 months where Graduates engage in both formal & informal learning, observational sessions, joint appointments, team activities & events and direct and indirect client work.

When selecting our Graduate Cohort, we look for team members who bring different perspectives, attitudes, and qualities in-line with our diversity and inclusion strategy. We welcome applications from people of any socioeconomic status, age, race, national origin or ethnicity, people with disabilities and people who identify with the LGBTQIA+ community.

While the Program is designed to increase your generalist skills, our unique allocations process and supervision structure enables us to tailor caseloads and education in consideration of your preferences and areas of interest.

At National 360, we are supportive of all team members working flexibly. You can choose to work from home or from an office location and can adjust your working hours so you can work the way that best suits your individual needs and preferences.

All the support that we were told we would receive in the graduate program has happened, they have followed through on everything. We have gotten the support, the induction modules and graduate meetings, everyone is willing to support you, it is great.

360 GO – A True 12 Month Program

360 GO runs for a full calendar year and has been designed in consultation with clinical and educational experts, alongside valuable insights from previous Graduates. Our aim is to provide a nurturing, encouraging, and highly personalised journey through four key phases:

Our Simulated Practice sessions provide a safe and controlled environment to practice your therapeutic skills and get comfortable with real-life scenarios before your first client session. Week 1 allows you to experiment, make mistakes, and learn from them.

Weeks 2-12: Experiential Discovery

The best way to master the art of therapy is through experiential discovery – a dynamic, hands-on approach that immerses you in real-life situations. Weeks 2-12 are all about connecting new information to existing knowledge, with everyday applications to enhance the learning process.

Weeks 13-26: Theoretical Learning

Develop your clinical expertise by strengthening your theoretical foundation through engaging in immersive and interactive workshops facilitated by subject matter experts from Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, and Positive Behaviour Support disciplines. Workshop topics include Assistive Technology, Mental Health, Home Modifications, AAC, Aged Care, Housing, Dysphagia, Report Writing, Early Intervention, Manual Handling, Psychosocial Disability Interventions, Functional Capacity Assessment & Reporting, Paediatric Feeding, Falls & Home Safety, PBS in the NDIS and Aquatic Therapy.

Weeks 27-52: Individualised Development

Each Graduate will have a custom program collaboratively designed so you can follow your preferred roadmap to excellence. Specialise in a particular area of interest, dive into our structured L&D Programs for leadership roles, or maintain a diverse caseload. We’ll be with you each step along the way.

Supervision and Support

We are well known for providing the most comprehensive supervision & support in the industry, complemented by ancillary learning opportunities to coach and develop the best Allied Health professionals in Australia. The support you receive as a 360 Graduate and early career therapist includes:

  • Observational sessions – for the first five weeks of 360 GO, you will have the opportunity to complete a half day of observation with an experienced therapist every single week. This will enable you to not only observe client appointments, but pre- and post- appointment processes as well. You will predominately observe experienced therapists from your own discipline, however, to ensure a true multidisciplinary experience, you’ll also observe therapists from other streams to gain a holistic understanding of community Allied Health.
  • Joint appointments – your initial client sessions will be completed with your Clinical Supervisor, who will provide you with real-time support and feedback to refine your approach. Joint appointments are designed to ensure you feel confident and competent to provide therapy within a community setting prior to independently managing client appointments.
  • Self-directed learning – our online library has been developed over many years by our Clinical Practice Advisors and Clinical Leads, covering every topic you can think of! Your Clinical Supervisor and Team Leader will guide you on the best learnings relevant to your interests, skills, experience level and caseload. You can access these learnings at any time and complete them at a pace that suits you.
  • 2 hours of weekly Clinical Supervision – meet with your supervisor 1:1 each week to discuss your caseload, attend group supervision to engage in peer learning, and receive behind-the-scenes support to review your reports & therapy plans.
  • Weekly Team Leader Support – meet with your Team Leader 1:1 to support your understanding of organisational procedures, set achievable goals to work towards, and discuss your wellbeing and work/life balance.
  • Unlimited mentoring – our Clinical Practice Advisors host over a dozen mentoring sessions each week. CPAs share their knowledge through educational presentations, Q&A sessions, and providing 1:1 clinical consultations for the national team.
