Mental Health Support Group

Build skills for a healthier, more balanced life

Life can be challenging, and at times we may find ourselves struggling to manage stress, difficult emotions, relationships, or the demands of everyday life.

Our 8-week online Skills for Everyday Life Mental Health Support Group is designed for adults aged 18 years and over and provides a supportive space to learn practical strategies that can strengthen your wellbeing and help you navigate challenges with greater confidence. Through guided learning, discussion and reflection, you’ll develop skills that can support your emotional wellbeing, improve day-to-day functioning, and help you engage more fully in the activities and relationships that matter to you.

Delivered by Occupational Therapists, informed by Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and underpinned by PBS principles, the Mental Health Support Group program focuses on helping you put new skills into practice in everyday life. From managing emotions and coping with stress to building healthier routines and relationships, you’ll gain tools that support meaningful change long after the program has ended.

Join our next 8-week program commencing Monday 12 October 2026 @ 4pm AEDT.

Sessions will run on Monday afternoons from 4-5pm AEDT for 8-weeks. The final session will be Monday 30 November 2026.

Yes the lead clinician is trained in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and a lesser known therapeutic approach called Structured Clinical Management conducted through the Anna Freud Institute in the UK.

The clinicians are trained as occupational therapists which is a profession that considers how people function in daily life including in relationships, when problem solving, emotional regulation. The specific training of the facilitators vary but they are all experienced with relevant degrees. This group is not run by psychologists so pulls from psychological theories within the scope of an OT.
